The Methodist Church does not value talent – MOG
Award-winning Ghanaian Gospel singer Nana Yaw Boakye better known by his stage name as MOG Music the Methodist Church Ghana does not value music hence there is not a single policy by the church to help people with talent.
According to MOG, he developed the desire for music during his time spent with the Methodist Church but had to leave for the Royal House Chapel International.
“Some of the issues I faced when I was with the Methodist church is that the Church didn’t support our gift”, MOG said.
“I got to understand that the Methodist Church deals with policies and there was no policy to direct the Rev. Minister as to what to do with people who are talented”. MOG told Kantanka TV in an exclusive interview monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
The talented musician however appreciated the fact that it was during his time with the Methodist Church when he developed the desire to do music.
“I developed the desire for music in the Methodist Church.”, he indicated.
MOG added that, after leaving for Royalhouse Chapel International Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah helped him record all his five albums.
