2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 5: Aduana Stars beat Legon Cities FC 1-0 in Accra
Ghanaian giants, Aduana Stars are returning to Dormaa with 3 crucial points after defeating Legon Cities FC 1-0 in Accra on Friday afternoon.
The team from Dormaa today played as a guest to the capital-based outfit at the Accra Sports Stadium to battle for points on matchday 5 of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season.
In the tough encounter that ensued between the two clubs, the visitors had the upper hand at the end of the first 45 minutes.
It was all thanks to veteran striker Yahaya Mohammed who scored with a spectacular effort from a direct free-kick in the 27th minute.
His ferocious hit flew straight into the back of the net of Legon Cities FC with the goalkeeper shocked to his bones.
Although the home team will put up a strong fight in the second half, they could not score and hence succumbed to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Aduana Stars at the end of the 90 minutes.
