2021/22 Ghana Premier League: Week 26 Match Report – Elmina Sharks share points with RTU
Elmina Sharks FC and Real Tamale United shared the three points at stake in the matchday 26 match on Sunday at the Nduom Sports Complex.
Sharks coach Kobina Amissah made one change to the team that drew 1-1 with Hearts of Oak in the last round at the Accra Sports Stadium.
RTU coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko made two changes to the side that defeated Asante Kotoko SC in Tamale last week, with star striker David Abagna Sandan moving into the starting lineup.
Abagna had been out of action for about two months due to an injury suffered during the 33rd African Cup of Nations in Cameroon in January. His most recent start in the league was in December of last year.
The captain replaced Kwame Boakye, while Rashid Alhassan made way for Samuel Bawa to be included in the starting eleven.
Real Tamale United took an early lead in the fifth minute thanks to Victor Oduro’s second goal of the campaign.
The goal lasted barely 9 minutes when the Sharks equalized with Isaac Donkor in the 14th minute of the game.
Sharks are still bottom of the league while Real Tamale United is 15th on the league table.
