2022 AWCON: we cannot afford not to defend our trophy in Morocco – NFF President Amaju Pinnick
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick is confident the Super Falcons will defeat the Black Queens of Ghana to secure qualification to the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.
According to him, their target is to qualify for the tournament and defend the trophy in Morocco.
Nigeria goes into the reverse fixture with a 2-0 advantage after beating courtesy of Uchenna Kanu goals in the first leg at Lagos in midweek.
“We are going to play a very offensive game in Ghana. The two goals are good enough to us and by God’s grace we are going to beat them in Ghana because for us we cannot afford to not defend our trophy in Morocco and qualify for the world cup.” Amaju told journalists after the match first leg in Lagos.
Ghana will host Nigeria at the Accra Sports Stadium at 5pm.
