2022 FIFA WCQ: Emmanuel Amuneke’s addition to Nigeria backroom staff will make a big difference against Ghana – Garba Lawal
Former Nigerian midfielder, Garba Lawal says the addition of Emmanuel Amuneke to the backroom staff of the Super Eagle will make a big difference ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Nigeria have beefed up their backroom staff with the experienced Amuneke ahead of the crucial play-off clash against Black Stars of Ghana later this month.
The first leg will take place at the Cape Coast Stadium whereas the second leg takes place at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on March 25 and 29 respectively.
“I am really impressed with NFF decision to include Amuneke as part of Eguavoen’s coaching crew,” Lawal told Completesports.com
“I am optimistic that the NFF has taking a right in the right direction and we hope that they combo will make a big difference against Ghana in the World Cup playoff.
“There is no doubt that the team has the capability to overcome Ghana and I know they won’t disappoint.”
The winner of the tie will represent the continent at the World football showpiece which is scheduled to take place from November 21 to December 18, 2022, in Qatar.
