2022 President Cup : Hearts to battle Asante Kotoko on March 4
Hearts of Oak will look horns with arch-rivals Asante Kotoko in the 2022 President Cup which has been scheduled to be played on 4th March 2022.
The two teams will renew their rivalry in Accra few days after their clash in the first round of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League ended in a pulsating scoreless draw
His Excellency President Nana Akufo-Addo will grace the occasion and will kick start the game with the ceremonial kick off and also honor the teams after the game with medals.
The President Cup is an annual ceremonial match organized by the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) to be played to honour the first gentleman of the West African nation.
Asante Kotoko defeated Hearts of Oak 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium to win the last edition in 2019.
The Porcupine Warriors have won the title on six occasions, two titles more than Hearts of Oak.
