2022 World Cup qualifiers: Ghana’s group opponents Ethiopia name 25-man squad ahead of double header
Ghana’s group opponents in Group G have named a 25-man squad ahead of a double header with South Africa.
The Ethiopians lost 1-0 to Ghana in their first group game. Since then, they were able to record a 1-0 victory over Zimbabwe.
They have also sacked head coach Zdravko Logarušić recently whilst Ghana prepare to announce the return of Milovan Rajevac.
Ethiopia will host Hugo Broos’ side on 5 October before the return fixture at FNB Stadium four days later.
Ethiopia 25-man squad in full:
Goalkeepers: Teklemariam Shanko, Jemal Tasew, Fasil Michael
Defenders: Asrat Tunjo. Suleman Hamid, Ramadan Yusuf, Desta Yohannes, Yared Bayeh, Aschlew Tamene, Mignot Debebe, Menaf Awol
Midfielders: Amanuel Yohannes, Yihun Endeshaw, Gatoch Panom, Mesud Mohammod, Surafel Dagnachew, Tafese Solomon, Shimket Gugsa, Shimeles Bekele.
Forwards: Amanuel Michael, Getaneh Kebede, Abel Yalew, Chernet Gugsa, Mesfin Tafesse, Abubaker Nasir.
