2022 World Cup qualifiers: Milovan Rajevac aiming to book playoff spot with Black Stars

Ghana coach, Milovan Rajevac will be aiming to steer the Black Stars back to the Fifa World Cup next year in Qatar.

The Serbian was appointed last month on a one-year renewable contract, replacing CK Akonnor.

Rajevac steered the team back to winning ways after Ghana’s shaky start to the World Cup qualifiers beating Zimbabwe in a doubleheader in the October games.

The Serbian is expected to name his squad for the November games today at the Conference Room of the Ghana Football Association [GFA] at 12:00PM.

The Black Stars will be hosted by Ethiopia at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg on November 11 in the matchday 5 games.

On November 14, Ghana will welcome South Africa to the Cape Coast Stadium in the final Group G games.

With the Bafana Bafana on top of the summit with 10 points, Milovan will be hoping to secure all six points to be able to secure a place in the playoffs.

Ghana sit 2nd on the log with 9 points. The West African country missed out on the last edition of the Mundial in 2018 in Russia.
