’29 year old’ Samuel Inkoom hopeful of Black Stars return
Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has left the door open for a possible return to the Senior National Team.
The former Asante Kotoko right back has been out of the national team since representing at the AFCON tournament circa 2015.
Prior to that he had been a prominent member of Ghana’s national side representing in the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups.
His absence though not heavily felt but has left Ghana short of options at right back till date.
Speaking in an interview with Joy Sports, the 29 year old who recently signed for Georgian top flight side Torpedo Kutaisi says he’s willing to return to the side provided national team head Coach Charles Akonnor comes calling.
“I miss playing for Ghana, and I’ve done a lot for our country…once I’m still playing, why not,” he responded to a question about his readiness to play for Ghana again.
“If there’s an opportunity and he says he likes how I’m playing and how my system can suit whatever he wants to do, why not. I will play for Ghana,” he concluded.
