Accra Lions midfielder Abubakar Salifu joins Moldovan side FC Codru Lozova
Division one club Accra Lions have announced the departure of long standing captain Abubakar Salifu to Moldovan topflight side FC Codru Lozova.
The 23-year-old penned a two year deal with the club following a successful negotiations.
He left the club as a free year after five years with the Zone III league leaders.
“We have released Abubakar on a free transfer to greener pastures to honor his outstanding contribution for Accra Lions Football Club over the past five years,” said team manager Ishmael Hamidu.
”Abubakar was not only a key player during all those years but a role model to the younger players with his high level of professionalism and social competence. We will miss him both as a player and personality.All the best of luck, Baba!,” he added.
FC Codru Lozova are currently tenth on the Moldovan topflight league.
