AFCON 2021; Aboubakar continues scoring run as Cape-Verde hold Cameroon
Vincent Aboubakar netted in the third consecutive game at the African Cup of Nations as Cape-Verde held Cameroon to a 1-1 draw.
Aboubakar, top scorer at the ongoing African Cup of Nations, didn’t take too long to get his fifth goal of the tournament after he converted his effort in the sixth minute.
Cameroon, having already qualified for the knockout phases of the competition only needed to keep their 100% start to the tournament.
Cape Verde rallied back to rescue a point with a well-worked goal on 52 minutes boost his side’s chances of a last 16 place.
The stalemate confirmed Cameroon finished at the top of the group ahead of Burkina Faso on 4 points. Cape Verde are third leveled on points with Burkina Faso while Ethiopia finished bottom with a point.
