AFCON 2021; Burkina Faso chasing qualification against Ethiopia
Burkina Faso are seeking to keep their AFCON dreams when they come up against Ethiopia in the final group game.
The Stallions rekindled their AFCON hopes following a narrow victory against Cape-Verde having lost on the opening to hosts, Cameroon.
Ethiopia, on the other hand, have their qualifications hopes hanging by a slim thread; the Walias would need to beat Burkina Faso and have other results go in their favor in order to secure a place in the knockout phase of the competition.
Burkina Faso and Ethiopia’s only previous encounter in the Africa Cup of Nations took place in the group phase of the 2013 tournament – Burkina Faso won 4-0 and It is The Stallions’ biggest victory to date in the tournament.
A similar result would put the Stallions through to the next stage and end the hopes of the Walias.
