AFCON 2021: Moldova-based midfielder Edmund Addo joins Black Stars teammates in Qatar

FC Sheriff Tiraspol midfielder Edmund Addo has joined his Black Stars teammates in Doha, Qatar ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Addo, who has been instrumental for the Moldovan giants reported to the team’s training camp on Thursday.

“Manaf Nurudeen and Edmund Addo are the latest players to join the team camp in Doha,” Ghana FA confirmed on their official twitter page.

The enterprising burst into the scenes following his superlative performance in the UEFA Champions League group stages game against giants Real Madrid outclassing Toni Kroos, Casemiro and others in the middle to help his side defeat Madrid.

He made Milovan Rajevac’s provisional 30-man squad and will hope to make the final cut for the tournament in Cameroon.

With 25 appearances in all competitions, Addo has helped the club reach the Europa League play-offs round.

Addo debuted for the Black Stars on 11 November 2021 in a World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia.
