AFCON 2021: Mubarak Wakaso flies in personal Physio from Barcelona to speed recovery process
Ghana star Mubarak Wakaso has flown his personal physiotherapist Carlos Lozano from Barcelona to Cameroon to help speed his recovery process for the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars midfielder who has been nursing a knee injury was unable to participate in the country’s 1-0 defeat to Morocco in the opening game of Group C on Monday.
Carlos Lozano is expected to draw up a training plan that will get Wakaso back in shape for Ghana’s second group game against Gabon on Friday.
The experienced Spanish physio first worked with the player during his stint at Espanyol and has continued to do so now that he plays in China.
FootballMadeInGhana understands that the cost of the physio’s travel and stay in Cameroon will be funded by Wakaso himself.
