Afena-Gyan demoted to U19s after sneaking out for clubbing
Ghanaian youngster, Felix Afena-Gyan has been demoted from the first team of AS Roma after he sneaked out for clubbing.
The 19-year-old made his senior debut under Jose Mourinho in the ongoing Serie A season scoring two goals on his third Serie A appearance on November 21.
According to a report from Il Messaggero newspaper, Afena-Gyan has been sent to the primavera team and won’t be part of the first-team squad for the next few weeks following his decision to go clubbing.
According to the report, Mourinho was left disappointed with the action of the promising forward and has decided to drop the striker to the Primavera team.
Afena-Gyan was ruled out of last Sunday’s match against Spezia due to a minor injury but was later seen in a nightclub that night.
The young striker has featured for AS Roma 12 times this season.
