Alan Shearer’s team of the week includes Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu
Ghana and Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu has been named in Alan Shearer’s Premier League team of the week.
The 22-year-old towering guardsman has been outstanding in the ongoing season for the Saint featuring 25 times in the top-flight.
He put up a splendid performance last Friday as Southampton beat Norwich City 2-0 and has therefore earned a place in the legendary Alan Shearer team of the week.
Shearer was full of praise for Salisu as he lauded his fantastic performance in the heart of defense
“Rock-solid again for Southampton, the center-back didn’t give the Norwich attack a look-in,” Shearer stated on Premier League show.
Salisu is yet to feature for the Black Stars after declining to represent Ghana at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
He is likely to accept call up for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.
