Andre Ayew scores to hand Swansea City first leg advantage in Championship playoffs against Barnsley

Ghanaian attacker Andre Dede Ayew scored the only goal of the game to hand Swansea City a slim advantage over Barnsley in the Championship playoffs on Monday.

The Black Stars skipper strike  in the 39 minute to propel his side a first leg playoff advantage over their opponents.

Andre Dede Ayew has now netted 17 goals in the championship season this season for the Wales side to record his best ever goal scoring season in Europe.

Swansea City are competing in the championship playoffs for the second successive season and are hoping to put last season’s disappointment aside to make it through the final.

The Swans will be looking to book a place to the Wembley final when they host the same opponent  of on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium in Wales.
