Asamoah Gyan congratulates Cameroon FA president elect Samuel Eto’o
Asamoah Gyan has congratulated retired attacker Samuel Eto’o after he emerged victorious in the race to occupy the Cameroonian Football Federation presidential seat.
Four-time African Footballer of the Year Samuel Eto’o won the election on Saturday and will chair FECAFOOT for the next four years.
Gyan turned to social media to congratulate the Cameroonian icon on his most recent achievement.
“Congratulations big brother Samuel Eto’o wish you all the best as you start this new and challenging journey . May your success as a footballer be your guide to greatness,” Gyan tweeted.
After 75 delegates casted their ballots, Samuel Eto’o emerged victorious to represent one of the top football countries on the continent.
The former Inter and FC Barcelona player will be heavily involved in next year’s AFCON because the prestigious tournament will be held in Cameroon.
