Asante Kotoko ready to hand Fabio Gama new contract
Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko are ready to offer midfielder Fabio Gama Dos Santos a new contract.
The Porcupine Warriors club signed the brilliant attacking midfielder on a free transfer prior to the start of the 2020/21 football season.
In a campaign where the player featured for Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup competition, he was superb for the side and established himself as one of the best players that season.
Now playing his second season in Ghana, Fabio Gama will see his contract expire next year.
According to Kotoko communications director David Obeng Nyarko, the club is confident of extending the contract with Fabio Gama before the current deal expires.
“We will engage Fabio Gama on the contract renewal and we are hopeful to get him to commit to a new deal,” Obeng Nyarko told Asempa FM in an interview.
This season, Fabio Gama has continued from where he left off last season. He has a few assists to his name and aiming to help Asante Kotoko to lift the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the 2021/2022 football season.
