Asante Kotoko’s Habib Mohamed REFUTES contract termination claims
Asante Kotoko defender Habib Mohammed has not requested to terminate his reports, FMIG can confirm.
Contrary to local media reports, the player has not initiated any process to truncate his stay at the club.
Local media speculated that Habib Mohammed had requested the management of Asante Kotoko to terminate his contract. The reports drew more impetus from earlier incidents of fallout between the player and the technical team.
The clearest evidence of tempers brewing between the two parties is when Habib Mohammed nearly assaulted acting boss Johnson Smith after he was withdrawn before half time in a league clash with King Faisal.
The player’s representatives have moved to quash reports of him asking for a termination of his existing deal.
Insider reports indicate the player is flummoxed by the reports making waves in the media and has flatly denied the claim to persons closer to him as well.
