Ashmeru on target in Anderlecht heavy win over Royal Antwerp
Sensational Ghana midfielder Majeed Ashmeru fired up Anderlecht to a massive win over Royal Antwerp in the Belgian Jupiler League on Monday afternoon.
The Black Stars midfielder energized his side with the opening goal to engineer a 4-1 win over Antrwerp at the Bosuilstadion in Dueme.
The former WAFA play maker broke the virginity of the game seven minutes after the break to inspire his side to the massive win.
Ten minutes after opening the scores, Amir Murillo of Panama added the second for the visitors before Belgium midfielders El Hadj and Yari Verschaeren capped it off with a goal each to complete a 4-0 lead.
The home side grabbed a consolation through Le Marchand just a minute before ending proceedings.
The goal becomes the first for the Ghanaian midfielder in the league and his second for Anderlecht since joining.
Ashmeru has played 3 league games for Anderlecht and one Belgium Cup game for his new side, registering 2 goals in a total of 4 games.
