Awako, Asubonteng missing as Hearts of Oak release squad for 2021-22 season
Ghana Premier League holders Hearts of Oak have announced their official squad and jersey numbers for the 2021/22 Premier League season.
The Phobians after ending their 11 year title drought are looking to defend their title once again.
New signings Ushau Abu, Benjamin Yorke, Isaac Agyenim Boateng, Salim Adams, Kofi Kordzi and Yaw Baafi have a been included in the squad.
The surprise exclusion are Gladson Awako, Enoch Asubonteng, Abdul Manaf Umar, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen, Suraj Seidu. Auroras graduate Razak Ali didn’t also make the list.
The Phobians will their title defense with a home game against Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
