Ayew and Schlupp feature in Palace loss as City close in on title
Ghanaian duo, Jeffery Schlupp, and Jordan Ayew both featured for Crystal Palace in their home defeat to Machester City on Saturday afternoon.
After a scrappy first half at Selhurst Park, outgoing striker, Sergio Aguero thumped City ahead with a clinical finish before Ferran Torres drilled in a low shot.
However, Schlupp was introduced to the game in the 59th minute and brought stability to the Eagles.
With eight minutes to end the game, Jordan Ayew replaced Andros Townsend.
Ayew has struggled this season scoring just a goal for Palace.
The defeat leaves Palace at the 13th position with 38 points.
Palace will play relegated Sheffield United on Saturday, 8th May.
Meanwhile, Manchester City will secure a third title in four seasons if second-placed Manchester United lose at home to Liverpool on Sunday.
