AZ striker Myron Boadu set to leave for France
Myron Boadu is in the spotlight of Ligue 1 club AS Monaco. The striker still has a contract for 2 years at AZ, but the Monegasques are eager to bring him to the principality.
AD reported this on Wednesday. Friend and teammate Calvin Stengs is already in France getting ready to complete his transfer to OGC Nice. There is a chance that the Alkmaarders will see 2 of their trendsetters leave.
The 20-year-old Boadu scored 15 Eredivisie goals last season. Boadu also scored twice in the quarterfinals against France at the European U21 Championship. Both he and Stengs are accompanied by agent Mino Raiola. AZ already brought in attacker Vangelis Pavlidis from Willem II as a reinforcement for next season.
Monaco finished 3rd in France last season. Nice finished 9th, meaning that Stengs will not play European football next season in the event of a possible transition.
