B.A. United banned from playing home games at the Sunyani Coronation Park
The leadership of the Ghana Football Association have banned Brong Ahafo United from playing their home games at the Sunyani Coronation Park in the interim.
The decision comes after fans of B.A. United rushed onto the field and beat referee Maxwell Hanson after he awarded a penalty to RTU in their game on Sunday. A decision which didn’t go too well with the fans of the home side.
The GFA EXCO following a meeting with regards to Sunday’s disgraceful events have resolved to ban the Sunyani Coronation Park temporarily till a full decision on the matter is taken by the disciplinary committee.
“That in the exercise of its powers under the Division One League Regulations, the Executive Council has decided that Brong Ahafo United FC is temporary banned from using the Sunyani Coronation Park as its home venue.” – the GFA confirmed in statement released today.
