Bordeaux could exercise option to sign Ghanaian defender Gideon Mensah at the end of the season
French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux could exercise their option to buy Ghanaian defender Gideon Mensah permanently from Red Bull Salzburg at the end of the season.
The enterprising left-back joined the French club on a season long loan with the option of buying at the end of the season.
Speaking about the situation of players currently on loan which included the Ghanaian, Diabate said, “For Ricardo Mangas and Gideon Mensah, you should know that their call options are quite low. There is a chance that they will be lifted in the sense that Bordeaux will be able to consider future capital gains”
“On the other hand, for Dilrosun and Pembele is different. They have higher call options and the returns are questionable.”
Gideon Mensah was part of the Black Stars squad that suffered early exit from the AFCON 2021.
