Brilliant Laryea oversees Super clash without controversies
Referee Daniel Laryea put up a brilliant display as he oversaw the super clash between Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The appointment of the experienced FIFA referee was met with a lot of complains following his controversial performance in the Ashanti derby where he failed to send off Goalkeeper Kofi Mensah even though he touched the ball with his hands outside the penalty box.
Referee Laryea recovered from that poor performance and put in a sterling display on Sunday afternoon as he exerted great authority and control on the game.
Laryea’s decisions during the course of the super clash were succint and without blemish and again proved why many tout him as the best referee in the country.
Hearts of Oak ended the eagerly anticipated super clash as victors kind courtesy a solitary strike from in form attacker, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.
