CAF Confederation Cup: Hearts of Oak to face JS Saoura on November 28
Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak will take on Algeria side JS Saoura in the first leg of the 2021/22 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup final play-offs on Sunday 28 November 2021.
The Phobians dropped to CAF’s second-tier inter-club competition after losing heavily to Wydad AC in the final playoff round of the CAF Champions League, hence they failed to make the group stage of the competition.
Now dropped into the CAF Confederations Cup playoffs, Hearts of Oak must get past Algerian club JS Saoura to progress to the group stage of the competition.
Hearts of Oak must record positive results after the two legs of the game against JS Saoura to stand the chance of continuing the journey in the continental competition.
Coach Samuel Boadu, who steered the Phobians to a domestic double has come under intense pressure after failing to win any of the four league games played so far this season.
Hearts lost 2-0 to Ashanti Gold on match week four at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday.
The poor start of the club into the new season has left many fans of the club calling for the head of the former Medeama SC boss, who joined the club last term.
