Chelsea winger Hudson-Odoi receives praise from Rio Ferdinand after Malmo display
English-born Ghanaian forward, Callum Hudson-Odoi has received praise from Manchester United great Rio Ferdinand following his top display in the game against Malmo FF.
The youngster on Tuesday glittered for the Blues in their champions league game as he assisted Hakeem Ziyech for the only goal of the game to give the visitors a narrow win.
After monitoring the game, Rio Ferdinand was full praise for Callum Hudson-Odoi and said this is what everyone that has followed the forward has been waiting for.
“This is what we have been waiting for (from Callum Hudson-Odoi). ‘We have heard about Callum since he came through the ranks at Chelsea but he hasn’t quite lit it up for Chelsea,” Ferdinand said after the match.
He added, “But if he keeps doing this he will live up to the hype. However, he has come back from a big Achilles injury so we have to remember that.”
Meanwhile, the manager of the player, Thomas Tuchel also shared a similar view and is urging the player to keep working and playing well consistently to improve his game.
