Confirmed dates for Ghana v Nigeria showdown in final round of qualifiers to 2022 FIFA WC
All is set for Ghana’s showdown with Nigeria in the final qualifying round for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Last month, the Black Stars were drawn against the Super Eagles to battle for one of five African slots for this year’s global showdown.
Although it had been known for weeks that the two-legged encounter would be staged in March, the dates had not been officially communicated until today.
Your most trusted online portal can confirm that the first leg of the game would be staged in Ghana at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday, March 24, 2022.
Subsequently, the Black Stars will travel to Nigeria for the reverse fixture scheduled to be played on Sunday, March 26, 2022.
That clash will be honoured at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
The winner at the end of the two legs will secure a place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament scheduled to be played in Qatar.
