DBlack urges Ghanaians to sign “Asamoah Gyan back to Black Stars” petition
Ghanaian rapper and businessman DBalck has created a petition and urged Ghanaians to sign. The petition is titled Asamoah Gyan back to Black Stars (World Cup 2022).
This is a move in the aftermath of the team’s disappointing departure from the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The Blacks Stars left the ongoing tournament with one point in Group C and were beaten by debutants Comoros 3-2.
DBlack feels bringing the Black Stars’ record goalscorer back into the squad one last time will help bring back the missing team spirit.
Former coach Kwasi Appiah almost left Asamoah Gyan out of the team for the 2019 AFCON. The former Sunderland striker who hasn’t retired has been left out of all call ups since then.
Asamoah Gyan who is now a pundit on Supersport for the Africa Cup of Nations expressed his disappointment after Ghana’s exit from the tournament.
