Defender Daniel Amartey returns to strengthen Leicester’s City defence
Defender Daniel Amrtey has returned to Leicester City after Ghana’s poor performance at the ongoing 33rd Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The Ghanaian defender will train with his teammates this morning and is in line to feature in Brendan Rodger’s team as they face Brighton.
Rodgers has seen his team slip to 10th in the table and is behind Brighton ahead of tomorrow’s clash.
Leicester City will try to shake off the mid-week dramatic defeat to Antonio Conte’s Spurs after leading 2-1 up to 94 minutes, only to lose 2-3 following Steven Bergwijn late attack.
Leicester has only lost three of their 17 home league games against Brighton (W11 D3), most recently a 4-1 loss in April 2014 according to Opta.
Daniel Amartey has made ten appearances in the Premier League this season.
