Dennis Appiah reveals how he stayed in the game against PSG

FC Nantes put up a strong display last weekend, defeating PSG at home. However, the game was spoiled by a few refereeing mistakes that resulted in a lot of blood flowing.

Dennis Appiah, who was guilty of a foul in the penalty area after being cautioned, feared he was going to be sent off after taking down Kylian Mbappe.

“I was really thinking of taking a second yellow so a red and leaving my teammates at ten and I was not good for that […] After the penalty, I didn’t tell myself that I shouldn’t do a foul otherwise I was going to be expelled, I continued to defend normally and put my foot in. That’s how I stayed in my match,” he told RMC Sports.

Nantes travel this Sunday to FC Metz on match week 26 of Ligue 1. The Nantais remain on 3 consecutive victories and point to a nice 7th place in the league.
