Dennis Appiah should have been sent off – PSG Sporting Director after defeat to Nantes
Sporting Director of Paris Saint-Germain, Leonardo believes Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah should have been given the matching orders in their clash with Nantes last Saturday.
The Ghanaian defender featured as Nantes shocked PSG with a 3-1 home win in the French Ligue 1.
Leonardo, who was impressed with the performance of the referee indicated that Ghana and Nantes defender should have been sent off in the game.
“[Nantes defender] Dennis Appiah should have been shown the second yellow card for the penalty on [Kylian] Mbappe,” said Leonardo.
“And a second yellow, logically, means a red card and sending off. In addition, the referee stopped giving many fouls on our players” he said.
