Division Two Middle League: Okwawu United vs Kwaebibirem United FC clash to be played at Oda sports stadium
The Competition Department of the Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) has settled on the Akim Oda Sports Stadium to host Okwawu United and Kwaebibirem United crucial middle league game.
The much-anticipated game has been scheduled for Sunday, October 3, 2021.
A statement from the RFA reads, “The Middle League Committee and the Competition Department of the Eastern RFA has scheduled the replay match of Kwaebibirem United Vrs. Okwawu United to Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 9:00am at the Akim Oda Sports Stadium based on the ruling of the GFA Disciplinary Committee”
“The match modalities and other necessary information will be communicated to the clubs shortly”
The move by the Eastern RFA is as a result of the ruling of the Ghana Football Association Appeals Committee who ordered for a replay between the two clubs at a neutral venue.
The decision to award the points to Kwaebibirem United FC was quashed by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA.
Okwahu United were declared losers by the judicial body in the Eastern region but that has been overturned by the higher appellate body.
The winner will square off with Koforidua Suhyen Sporting Club for a sole slot to zone 3.
