Dutch-born full-back of Ghanaian descent, Leeroy Owusu has earned his maiden invite to play for the Black Stars in the clash against Nigeria later this month.

This is per information gathered from close sources as Ghana awaits the announcement of coach Otto Addo’s squad for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying games.

Nicknamed the Black Stars, the West African giant will in the last week of this month take on rivals Super Eagles in the final African qualifying round to this year’s world cup scheduled to be staged in Qatar.

In what will be played as a two-legged tie, Ghana will be under the guidance of new head coach Otto Addo.

From checks, it has been learned that the Germany-based tactician has decided to bring in some new players.

One of the new players is Leeroy Owusu who currently plays his football in the Netherlands.

The Willem II Tilburg right-back will provide a massive squad boost for the Ghana team that has lacked a strong defender in that position.
