Eintracht’s new signing Knauff ready to work hard for the club
Ansgar Knauff was permitted to make his Eintracht jersey debut in the Mainz game. The winger should play with his pace and reinforce the right wing.
Eintracht Frankfurt took advantage of the international break last Thursday to visit their rivals in Mainz. The cult Bruchweg is located in the heart of the residential neighborhood and is only used for friendly matches or games between young teams. Trainer Oliver Glasner allowed newcomer Ansgar Knauff to feature in the game.
The offensive midfielder, who was loaned to Eintracht for 18 months by Borussia Dortmund, was given 64 minutes of playing time.
“My first assignment felt very good. I’m looking forward to more,” said Knauff after the end of the game on Eintracht TV. In the end there was a 1-0 victory for Frankfurt. Knauff saw a good defensive performance, they “were good at the back” and “allowed little”.
