Elmina Sharks management dissolved – Footballghana
Directors of Elmina Sharks led by Dr. Papa Kwasi Ndoum have dissolved the current management of the club after enduring a difficult Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Elmina based outfit survived relegation on final day of the domestic top-flight after beating giants, Asante Kotoko 1-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium to maintain their Premier League status.
Despite surviving relegation, the management team led by George Wiredu and club secretary Kelvin Aboagye have been asked to leave the club to end their four-year stint with the club.
Members of the management are yet to receive their letters relieving them off their post after returning from Obuasi with victory.
Sources closed to the club indicates that letters relieving the management from their post was long prepared before the last game against Kotoko.
But it is said series of meetings leading to the last match has left the delivery delayed.
The board believes management of the club failed to adhere to proper administrative practices leading to the last day difficulties in maintaining the club’s Premier league status.
Meanwhile, the club is yet to decide on the future of Stand in Coach Odartey Lamptey who guided the team to maintain its status as a top tier side.
