Emmanuel Lomotey insists Ghana will not underestimate any team at AFCON
Ghana international Emmanuel Lomotey has said the Black Stars will not underestimate their opponents at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Cameroon.
The Black Stars who are yet to win a major silverware since 1982 have been paired in Group C of next year’s Africa Cup of Nations alongside Morocco and Comoros.
Speaking to Onua TV, the Amiens midfielder disclosed he was monitoring the draw with compatriot Nicholas Opoku and believe the group is a good one.
“I was monitoring the AFCON 2021 draw with Nicholas Opoku and I told him the group Ghana find itself in is a good one and we must qualify”
“We shouldn’t underestimate any opponent in Ghana’s group” he added.
The Black Stars will start their campaign against Morocco in January 2022 before taking on Gabon and Comoros.
