Former Hearts of Oak Board Member Dr Poku Sampene has blamed Alhaji Akanbi and Vincent Odotei-Sowuah for the latest crisis at the club.

On Wednesday, some aggrieved fans stormed the club’s secretariat to revolt against the current board.

The supporters gave the Board a one-week ultimatum to meet their demands or face their wrath.

This comes following a mass resignation of members of the technical team within a week raising a lot of concern about the direction of the club.

“The supporters are hurt and complain to some of us when they see us. We will not sit and watch Alhaji Akanbi, Sowah Odotei and others to run the club down” Dr. Opoku Sampene he said in an interview with Nhyira FM.

“Hearts don’t have a board. Togbe Afede XIV has his own men in the board who are like rubber stamps. They only work on what Togbe desires and will please his interest. The situation is such that if he (Togbe) as the majority shareholder is not ready to relinquish his shares, there is no way a change in how things are at the club will be realized,” he continued.

The former Hearts chief also blamed the supporters for not acquiring more shares during the floatation.

“Hearts fans failed to buy the shares and the majority of the shares is held by one person. We failed with the floatation of the shares”.
