EXCLUSIVE: Emmanuel Nettey’s Hearts contract left with 4 months to expire
Accra Hearts of Oak risk losing the services of hardworking midfielder , Emmanuel Nettey on a free transfer when his contract runs out in four months time, FMIG can exclusively report.
The midfielder joined the Phobians in December 2019 with his contract set to expire in December 2021.
The 29-year-old since joining the Ghana Premier League champions on a free transfer has become an integral member of the squad producing some big performances.
Nettey has enjoyed a career renaissance in recent weeks, becoming one of Boadu’s pick in Hearts’ midfield.
His goal against Great Olympics in the Ga Mantse derby added to his performance against Medeama shows how key he is in the Phobians set up.
Hearts of Oak are yet to open renewal talks with the former Inter Allies player with only four month left in his exiting contract.
The hard-working midfielder could join Benjamin Afutu who is set to leave the club at the end of the month (August) after the club failed to reach agreement with him.
Nettey enjoyed 17 games for Hearts of Oak in the 2020/2021 season helping them to win the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup.
