Exclusive: King Faisal matchday 21 clash against Berekum Chelsea postponed
The Ghana Football Association has postponed the Ghana Premier League matchday 21 clash between King Faisal and Berekum.
This is to allow renovation works to be carried out at the Baba Yara Stadium ahead of Ghana’s World Cup playoffs against Nigeria.
The Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi has been approved to host the World Cup Qatar 2022 play-off match between Ghana and Nigeria following an inspection by CAF Licensing Inspector.
The Ghana Football Association have been tasked to meet certain conditions before the match can be played at the Baba Yara Stadium.
This has led to the decision to postponed King Faisal’s Ghana Premier League match against Berekum Chelsea which was supposed to be played at the stadium five days before the qualifiers.
The Baba Yara stadium has been chosen to replace Cape Coast stadium which was originally scheduled to host the match.
Ghana will play Nigeria in the 1st leg on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 19:30GMT at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
