Fabulous Ladies captain Princess Owusu wins Women’s Premier League top scorer
Fabulous Ladies skipper Princess Owusu emerged as the top scorer of the just ended 2021/22 Women’s Premier League campaign.
Owusu enjoyed an amazing season despite his side failing to reach the finals of the Women’s top-flight.
She had18 goals contributions which is higher than any other player in the just ended season. The forward scored scored 15 goals and provided 3 assists.
Princess Owusu also bagged five most valuable player award (joint with Stella Nyamekye) of Dreams Ladies.
On Saturday, Ampem Darkoa Ladies won their first Women’s Premier League title after defeating Hasaacas Ladies in the final game played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Techiman-based side defeated Hasaacas Ladies 5-4 on penalties to win the Women’s Premier League title.
The game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes with penalties needed to separate the two teams.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies who emerged as winners of the Women’s Premier League will automatically represent Ghana in the 2022/23 CAF Women’s Champions League campaign.
