Felix Afena Gyan nominated for Mondoprimavera Most Valuable Player
Young Ghanaian striker, Felix Afena Gyan has been nominated alongside three other players in the Primavera by Mondoprimavera for the Most Valuable Player accolade in the last week.
The AS Roma attacker has been in red hot form since making the move to Italy and was on target again last week Wednesday against Cagliari at home and scored the only goal for Giallorossi in the 92nd minute to secure victory over Empoli last Saturday.
Mondoprimavera is an Italian website dedicated to the performance of the club and ratings of players in the U19 youth championship.
Gyan scored a rating of 7.5 in 22 minutes against Cagliari last week and 7 in Roma’s win over Empoli after 44 minutes of action.
The Euro Africa Academy graduate will be competing against Antonis Siatounis (Sampdoria), Michele Basaggio (Genoa) and Alessio Rosa (Atalanta).
Fans are required to vote for their favorite candidate. The winner will be announced in the next few days.
Gyan has a goal contribution of four and an assist in the Primavera division.
