Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Mariano Barreto has left the shores of Ghana for Portugal following the end of the Ghana Premier League season.

The 64-year-old left the country with the club’s injury prevention coach Pedro Manuel Two weeks after his side’s elimination from the MTN FA Cup.

The pair are returning to their country for holidays after leading the team to a second place in the Ghana Premier League.

Its unknown if he will return to Ghana and continue his job following his recent outburst with the management of the club.

WAFA head coach Prosper Narteh has been tipped to replace him.
