Former Ghana coach CK Akonnor impressed with Kotoko, Hearts of Oak performance this season

Former Ghana coach CK Akonnor believes Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have improved tactically this season.

The 48-year-old who has managed both Kotoko and Hearts of Oak is currently without a club after being sacked as the head coach of the Black Stars last year.

The Porcupine Warriors are on the verge of winning the 2021/22 league title at the expense of reigning champions, Hearts of Oak considering the points gap with six matches to end the season.

Kotoko lead the log with 58 points whereas Hearts of Oak sits 4th position with 44 points.

In an interview, the former Ghana midfielder expressed satisfaction with the performance of the two glamourous clubs in the country.

“This is what we get in this generation, I think they’ve improved in the way we play, the style, tactics and others. I have seen a couple of games from both teams and it wasn’t bad” he said.
