Former Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi wants over-aged players out of the Black Stars
Former Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi believes the invitation of over-aged players into the national team has affected the Black Stars in recent times.
According to him, players above 30-years has nothing good to offer the team and has therefore advised against the invitation of such players into the team.
Speaking on GTV Sport+ Saving our Passion show on Thursday, the former FA capo said players above 30-years are politicians who will just come to destroy the team and has therefore clamored for the inclusion of young players.
“Football is for young players and had this policy at Wa All Stars. I always say that any player over 30-years is no longer a footballer but a politician, he is coming to destroy your team for you. They will come with agitations. With due respect, is not a rule of general application but invariably it happens in most cases” he said.
He has called on the coaches to be courageous in giving young players the opportunity.
