Frederick Acheampong Elected As New Treasurer Of Ghana Olympic Committee

Dynamic football administrator, Frederick Acheampong, has been elected as the new treasurer of the Ghana Olympic Committee on Monday.

He received 41 votes to beat off competition from challenger, Christopher Elssifie who garnered 22 votes at the GOC’s 24th Elective congress in Accra.

Meanwhile, incumbent Ben Nunu also retained his seat as President of the Ghana Olympic Committee.

 


FULL PROFILE:

Frederick Owusu Amankwah Acheampong also known as Fred Achee is a Ghanaian football administrator and media personality who is currently a member of the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council.

He is currently a General Coordinator for the Confederation of African Football.

Fred Achee is a finance manager and broadcaster with extensive experience in Broadcasting, Finance Management and Sports Administrative roles. 

He holds Master of Business Administration – MBA Finance from the University of Wales, UK and BSc Business Administration, Banking and Finance .

Fred Achee currently works with Kumasi-based Kessben TV/FM

Fred Achee is the Chairman of the Management Committee of Ghana’s Olympic Football Team- the Black Meteors.

He also serve as the chairman of the Referees’ Classification and Assessors Panel of the GFA.

He is a member of the GFA’s Strategic and Business Plan and its International Relations Committees.

Fred Achee has worked as the Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold Sporting Club, Director of New Edubiase United Football Club, Director of Asokwa Deportivo Football Club and Commercial Manager of Kessben Football Club in the past.
