German-based Eunice Beckmann explains reason for her absence in Black Queens squad
German-based Eunice Beckmann has explained reason for her absence in the Black Queens crucial AWCON qualifiers against Nigeria.
The FC Cologne striker was initially included in the Black Queens team for Wednesday’s clash after the FA had completed her documentation.
But her name was surprisingly missing in the final squad for the game.
Beckmann took her official social media
page to explain the reason for her absence.
According the 28-year-old, she picked up a muscle injury hence her inability to honour the invitation for the game against Nigeria.
“I was very excited to meet my team mates for the AFCON qualifiers. Unfortunately I suffered a muscle strain injury. Therefore I won’t be able to participate. I’m wishing the Black Queens all the best in the upcoming games vs Nigeria and hoping to be part of the squad next time.” She posted on her Facebook page.
Ghana will face Nigeria on Wednesday in Abuja before hosting them in Accra four days later.
