Ghana 2021 AFCON squad: The inclusion of Baba Rahman and Andy Yiadom in Black Stars provisional squad is a miracle – Gabby Otchere-Darko
Member of ruling political New Patriotic Party [NPP], Gabby Otchere Darko has reacted to the latest Black Stars call-up.
On Tuesday, Milovan Rajevac, who is the head coach of the senior national team, the Black Stars, announced his 30-man provisional squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [Afcon] next year.
Mr Otchere-Darko is stunned by the inclusion of some players but admitted that is the true reflection of the team.
However, he was excited by the local players included in the team, having shown his support for Ghanaian-based players in the past.
“If you want to see the state of Ghana football, go thru this list. Teams hitherto unheard of but we’ve found players there we consider good enough for the national squad. That we could find 2 from Reading FC is itself a miracle! Good news for me are the local ones. More of those,” he wrote on Twitter in response to the list released on Tuesday.

The Black Stars have been drawn in Group C alongside Morocco, Gabon and the Comoros Island and are aiming to win their fifth Afcon trophy, having won the last trophy in 10982.
Milovan Rajevac and his charges will have a 17 days camp in Doha before the team jet off to Yaounde for the tournament.
